Here is lesson 1 in Bachese: Model 50 = .562" bore bass trombone.
B is the term for a trombone with an added valve. For bass trombones
50B= 1 valve Bb/F, 50B2 = 2 valve, 2nd valve dependent, Bb/F/Eb.
50B3 = 2 valve, 2nd valve independent, Bb/F/Gb. An LT before the
50 means a lightweight slide. Initials after the 50: L = large bell
(10 1/2" vs. 9 1/2"), O = open wrap valve tubing, K = "Balanced"
valve (obscure note: K series horns are always open wrap, even though
they don't have an "O"), D = detachable bell, G = gold brass bell.
Just like Burger King, Bach wants you to have it your way. Usually,
at Burger King you don't have to wait up to a year for custom orders.
