Except with some possible linkage and color-of-metal issues, I can't detect differences. DVS is just nylon sockets with steel balls. It works OK, and play or wear can be adjusted out. I think that they have come up with some other new linkage for their high $ versions. Although I haven't seen the new fancy linkage, I can't imagine what it would particularly do any better.
