You might try to find somewhere an old King 22 or King 24. King supplied the 22 mouthpiece with their small Eb, the 24 with their medium sized Eb, the 25 with the "Monster" Eb [and Eb sousaphones?] and the 26 with all BBbs and BBb sousaphones, per the 1938 catalog. The designs of the smaller Eb basses in the '38 catalog look very little different from the turn of the century horns.
