I personally use a Helleberg-style mouthpiece (but with a wider cup), the Marc. H1, on BIG (CC / BBb) tubas, but use an adaptation of Miraphone C4-style mouthpiece for the F tuba (much shallower cup, and more bowl-shaped than Hellebergs). My adaptation of the C4 incorporates a larger throat than the C4, sort of like the Miraphone Rose "Solo" model.

All of us have defenses for our "logic". Here is mine: I, for instance, wouldn't try to play a Bb soprano trumpet with an Eb alto horn mouthpiece, nor would I try to play any type of tuba with a bass trombone mouthpiece. Do you sort of see my point? Match the size of the mouthpiece to the size of the instrument, within your own taste perameters.
