Well, I am no Boosey expert for sure, but a 1938 Boosey&Hawkes would probably be a really small instrument, small bore, tight wrap, small bell, and would have that irritatingly small mouthpiece receiver. Might be a great instrument, especially if has just been rebuilt, could possibly be used as a solo or quintet horn. I'm only guessing but would assume that this old of a B&H wouldn't match up to the modern 981, 982, or 983. Would be worth giving it a test drive, because really you never know till ya give it a blow!
