That is an interesting suggestion! For just one example of this, in the cheezy recordings of Symphonie Fantastique, you usually cannot hear the syncopation in the hemiola figure upward diminished arpeggio in the 5th movement, because the conductors, nor the musicians make the parts fit together correctly.
