That was Hollywood. The musicians on screen may have been from the Philadelphia Orchestra but they were doing the Minni-Vannili thing - lip syncing. The Philadelphia Orchestra was brought in at the end to record the soundtrack so the musician were probably actors who just sat there while Stokkie and Mickey did their thing.
