The best college to go to is for you to decide. While your GPA, Financial situation, perhaps out of state fees/treatment, ACT, Reputation of your chosen college, musical ability, etc are all important things to take in consideration, I think it would be a good idea to go out and see what school you believe would suit you... opinions, desires, and needs vary from person to person.
There are lots of good reputable music programs out there that cost alot less than conservatory schools that are alot easier to get into, alot more liniard, and are more easier to win scholarships/benefits from. Not saying that the conservatory schools shouldn't be attempted, say if you are good enough, and have what it costs to go there, by all means handle your buisness. But be aware that there are alot of other possible directions to choose from... Be careful in which roads you take to your success.
