The 601 is an very economical alternative to the really large CC tubas out the like the Meinl-Weston 2165 and the Yorkbrunner. I own one and it is a very good tuba after some minor modifications. There has been much discussion about this tuba and if you will search the BBS Archives, you can find several threads about it.
