The Mahler Symphony Cycle performed by the New York Phil and LSO (for 8 only) under Bernstein. Novotny is the tuba player and does an excellent job performing these pieces.

Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and American in Paris as performed by the Boston Pops under Fiedler are really good. Chester Schmitz doing the lil solo in American in Paris is well done.

One of the best recordings of the V-W Tuba concerto is probably Fletcher playing it. Previn conducting LSO.

The Planets is probably the 1977 recording of the LA Symphony with Bobo playing first tuba.

I prefer the Philly/Ormandy recordings of the Roman Cycle but the Reiner version with CSO has Jake on it. Either of these will do well.

That's all for the moment.
