The VW can sound great on a BBb, but I don't think it can compare to a great musician on F. In my opinion ( which means little), the F horn jsut has more color to add to the music.
In closing I must say it matters not what horn you play it on, just that you try to make the most music possible on the VW or any piece for that matter.
