With all due respect to the suggestion given:

The differences between original Yorks and the German made York Masters has been discussed here on TubeNet. I have not taken part in these discussions, as I never have had a chance to test an original York. Rick Denney and Joe S probably are among the better people to ask about that matter.

However: As the owner/player of a York Master BBb (to be seen on the signature photo of all of my Yahoo groups) I know, that even the term of "York Master" covers very different instruments. Again Rick Denney has written most on his upright bell version, but from time to time I also have written on my bell-front version. Rick's and my York Master BBb's both are exponents of the large version with a .750" bore through all 4 valves.

The instrument up for auction is a much smaller 3 valve student instrument. I haven't ever tested that model, but I am convinced, that it works well on the terms of being a student model.

However I find it important to say, that a potential buyer going for a tuba associated with the York and Holton (or Conn and Martin for that matter) US-tradition of larger tubas is bound to be disappointed with the suggested auction instrument.

My brass instrument galleries hold these illustrations of York Master instruments:
