Don't assume that the best players are great teachers. They do not go hand in hand. If possible, take a few lessons with the person you are considering. Do you understand what they are telling you? Do they make sense? Can you get along with their personality for 4 years? Are they available? In the end, YOU are who is going to make a difference. A motivated student can be more beneficial than the greatest teacher.
