I have played my F for the first phrase of the Barber 2nd Essay and switched to my big horn for the rest of the piece. Rite of Spring is definetly a 2 tuba piece for both players. I know a couple of friends who play the long sustaoned B natural in Romeo and Juliet on F after having played the rest of the piece on a large instrument. On the Bear Solo in Petrouchka I play F while playing the rest of the tune on my big horn.
