The original mouthpiece supplied with the horn was a King 26, their standard BBb mouthpiece for both basses and sousaphones. This mouthpiece is more cup shaped than the Conn Hellebergs (regular and 7B, which is the same cup as the Conn 2 supplied with the 2XJ and 2XK horns). That suggests you might want to try a more cup shaped mouthpiece with your rotary bass.
