He was human. No one is ever going to be the definitive player on any instrument. Jacobs couldn't be flawless because he was not a machine. If you look through the archives, you'll find a vast number of posts and debates about some of his recordings, some of which are quite derogatory. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I think it is unfair to all other players to say that Jacobs did everything better than we could ever do. My two cents.
