If any of us subscribe to the idea of inflation in reverse where everything will cost less, then this is just one symptom of the problem we will all sooner or later experience.
It only stands to reason that if consumer goods cost less, there will be less to donate to charitable organizations. Why you might ask? It still costs the same to produce the goods but the profit margin is cut to virtually nothing. If this sounds like science fiction, look at what consumers have done to the music industry for several decades. Other industries are just coming around to the same conclusion. The consumer wins -- or does he/she?
