I agree 100%.

I love hearing Bruckner's 7th symphony live, as well as Mozart, but a well-prepared program of movie tunes, bombastic heavy classical oldies but goodies (William Tell, 1812--with cannons, etc), and some lighter fun stuff thrown in as well would be much more entertaining, and thus, I think, worth more.

It's strange to me that the less entertaining a program is, the more it costs (I guess sophistication has its price, eh?).
