I'm one of those with absolute pitch. And I _always_ tell people that absolute pitch does not imply perfect intonation. What it is is pitch recognition without a reference. Playing in tune is a completely different skill, that of matching your pitch to the other harmonics in the chord. Anybody with absolute pitch can learn this skill, just as those who have relative pitch do. And they should; it's not difficult. The major problem I run into with my abs pitch is when playing solo, when I tend to hit the notes based on my sense of what the pitch should be rather than how it fits with what came before.
