I've had good luck so far with the UMI bag made for the new Conn/King tubas.
I know there were some bad reviews on this UMI bag when it was first on the market; UMI has worked closely with the bag-maker to not only repair/replace the ones that had problems, but to also improve the design and production of them.
I haven't had any problems with my bag since getting it in March '02. It also includes a valve hold-down device to offer some extra protection there.
