I posted a follow-up on my Monsterweights after Ray Grim and I played with them in January. The link is below.
In short, he thought they made my Miraphone 186 play a bit too stiff, and tempered some of the musical things he was doing. I thought they made the horn more accurate with more core to the sound and more responsiveness. We both confirmed our opinions both while playing and while listening to each other play. He is a pro-quality player who has played a CC 186 his whole career, and, well, you know what I am.
