i have played on a PT 50 for six years now. i tried one of the PT 50+ at ITEC and found it to be bigger in diameter and it had a more sluggish response. you should at least try it for yourself though. Custom Music will send you one to try out and if you don't want to buy it, you can send it back to them and all you have to pay is the shipping. good luck.
