Yep - I did, but just for a few minutes.  It is a big horn, but not all that heavy.  It has a big sound, much more like an American horn than the German horns I tried.  It has a much sweeter (maybe not as dark ) tone, at least in my opinion.
You will definately want to use a tuba rest with this one.  Unless you are a BIG feller.
If you want a large horn with a big tone, this is it.  This 701, the Alexander (also at Dillon's) and a Conn 20J all have a big even tone.  If you prefer a dark German sound take a look at the M Weston 25 or even the new King (thats only my opinion)
