Much different animal.
It's physically a much larger instrument--closer to a 2xJ in size than the new 2341, with the 2XJ sort of big sound but not quite as woofy. Mine doesn't have any serious intonation problems to speak of, but the inner branches have been retapered sometime in the past, so it's hard to generalize on that aspect.
