Ward Kimball was also an antique car enthusiast. A number of years ago he painted a series of covers for the Horseless Carriage Club of America's "HCCA Gazette," that IMO were among the best covers that periodical has ever printed.
Ward's full-size Grizzly Flats RR is regarded as the reason Walt Disney added a train to the original Disneyland plans, the idea blooming after Disney visited Ward's train.
Ward Kimball's wonderful personality and his creativity in a wide-ranging variety of endeavors will be sorely missed.
