If one was gearing up for the pro-world, though, I don't think they'd be doing it in a community college, with someone else's tuba.

I think that the college would be smart to invest in some good BBb tubas. I think that the YBB 641 is a good horn for a community college, but I do agree that there are better options. King, Miraphone, and even(dare I say it) St. Petersburgs are all good candidates.

I'm curious about the tuba instructor at this particular university... what does he think, and why?
