Not being a slim-liner in the Mary Ann category myself I can tell that the problem with long pulls of the main tuning slide on a euph is, that it digs fairly deep into your abdominal area. Even more so when one, like me, has a main tuning slide trigger installed.

My worn out hips prevent me from standed playing anyway, so in seated playing I solve the digging problem by the use of a playing stand. Actually I use my K&M tuba stand with a foam pillow squeezed in between the double forks intended for the bottom bow of the tubas.

By the way my euph is a YEP641. One of the very few models with a fairly heavy bell made in ONE piece. Might be a bit slower in response than the thinner 2 piece bells, but it has an unbelievable integrity of its overtone spectre through a dynamic range, that Besson players can not even be allowed to dream of.
