Haven't used 'em for that, but if you get one of the Wal-Mart multi-packs, the little 10" bungees are exactly the right length to stretch across a Manhassett or Wenger music stand. One towards the top and one towards the bottom means I don't need plexiglass or clothes pins for outdoor concerts.
Wish I'd invented those things...
