Ken is on to something, here. I've stopped using the stop arm screw to drive out tuba rotors. An old French horn rotor fits in the stop arm and you can pound out the rotor without messing up the threads. Though lately, I just use a nice big flat blade screw driver or two and gently pry (stop arm to strike plate) off the stop arm. Then a I can use my canvas hammer to drive out the rotor.

Also, you could have flushed water through the horn (garden hose) for a few minutes. That ofter loosens the stuck valve. Andy, you can always call me at the store. I might know a little about your horns and give you a few tips you can use.
