Actually, the Kanstul horns that I have played (the 3 + 1 noncomp euph and the small concert tuba) were lightweight and had an extremely vibrant tone, excellent intonation... and were both very well designed. The only thing that kept me from buying the euph was that I need a compensating horn for the type of band/solo literature that I am playing. However Kanstul is currenty developing a compensating horn of their own, which is due to be released before the summer is over. I can't wait to try it out!
