no, I'm not. but I'm certainly not an authority on the matter either. as I understand it, Hindemith's avant-garde music angered nazi sympathizers and he was forced to write some appeasement music as well (like Prokofiev and Shostakovich did). eventually it was too much and he was forced out. weren't we talking about Wagner?
