You have a point that a collection of mouthpieces from a great player should not be broken up. In this case it already has been broken up. Mr Jacobs had at least 100 - 200 mouthpieces. After retirement he would give many away to a friend and the collection is much smaller. Yes, he had some with modifications, screw rims and never again made Mouthpieces but they are not in this group. These are stock mouthpieces that all of us use daily, there is nothing out of the normal.

What do you do with these? Sell them and pay for the furnace they blew out at the house.

What about price? I don't know anyone who knows the value of a bunch of tuba mouthpieces. The best thing is let the market dictate price. If a particular Mouthpiece is in high demand, the price may go up but there could be some great bargains here, you never know.
