If you are playing by yourself and you don't have too strong a pitch memory (sometimes called "perfect pitch"), play every note as if it was written a step lower (that is, C in the staff is fingered open, rather than 1). This won't help practicing 5-valve fingerings if you have a 4-valve BBb, but it may help with the transition next month. It might, also, confuse you terribly.
The other direction is easier; with a 5-valve CC tuba with a flat-whole-step fifth valve, hold down this valve and you have a (somewhat out-of-tune) BBb tuba.
