I have been reading many posts regarding which audition would be better to attend and the close scheduling of each audition. If you don't have a job and you wish to pursue an orchesteral carreer you should spend every last cent you have to go to ALL these auditions. Whichever it be, Colorado, Savannah or Louisville, practice your butt off and GO! All of these jobs are for real. I have played in Savannah as a sub while I was in the Jacksonville Symphony and there are many fine musicians in that orchestra as there are in Colorado and Louisville. I know all of these orchestras are not the New York Philhamonic but the competion will be keen. I'm telling all of you this because I NEVER had an opportunity like this after I graduated from school and there will probably NOT be an opportunity like this again. Get focused, practice and go!
