I never choose a tuba for intonation or ergonomics. You have to like the sound.
Let me put this scenario to you.
YOu go to one of the tubastores, find a great tuba with the best sound and projection you have ever played. Plays easy for you but you don't like the intonation so you buy one that has a worse sound, less projection and is harder to play but has great intonation.

NOT ME. I will play the other, you can have the one with better intonation. I have only found a few tubas that the intonation was so bad they weren't playable.

My few cents worth.
