I also like the Conn on the 3301. It gets a darker sound than the B&S 18 that came with it and hits the peddles easier. But I'm also more used to the Conn. I've been working with the B&S and finding its "sweet spots" and its faults. It is easily controlled and takes a bit less air (it has .002" smaller bore.) The rim is less comfortable, but as long as I remember to press lightly it plays well and feels ok. The 18's blast mode works well with less air. I hit higher notes with more control on the Conn, at least at this time. The 18 is easier on intonation.
