When you are the seller of crap, however, you have an evil choice. Either explain that it is crap, and (effectively) keep the horn, or allow the buyer to make that assessment for himself on the subjective bits.

Personally, I favor the latter, because a horn that has, say, out-of-tune notes for me might not for another player, with another mouthpiece, and so on.

A seller is not being wrong if he wants five people to try a horn knowing that it is only right for one of them, rather than having that one person pass it by for reasons that only matter in print.
