I agree. When I said it was imperfect, I meant that the Kasdan brothers opened so many story lines that they had to edit a few of them out, leaving them unresolved. But it added mystery, and I though provided the basis for a sequel that never came.
Countering the wandering plot was beautiful photography, warm humor, three-dimensional characters, modern relevance, a happy ending, and, of course, fabulous music. And, my favorite aspect, it is a perfect and powerful antidote to urban cynicism.
