A recent thread stated that some notable professional tubists who record for the US movie industry often use the YFB-822. Others have posted here stating that they use and enjoy this particular model. It is very "open" and easy to play throughout its range. The notes around low CC/BBb, which can require some altered technique to play well on many of the German/Czech rotary F tubas, play very easily on the YFB-822. It has a good reputation for a large F tuba, but with a voice that is different from the typical "Germanic" voice that seems very popular amongst F tubists.
