I've got a book of Bordogni/Rochut etudes that was transcribed for bass trombone. Many of them are about a fifth (I think) down from the trombone versions, putting them in what would be good beginner f tuba range (stays out of the basement but doesn't go too high either), I think. You can probably find the book at Hickeys or Portland sheet music.
