Many moons ago I went to Ravinia to meet Mr Jacobs before a concert. They were doing the Corsair and he was playing it on the F tuba. When it came to the concert, he did it on the CC after a talk with the conductor. Seems they didn't like the way the F blended with the trombones and wanted more fundemental to the sound. Because of range, the Corsair is something that many would do on an F but Mr Jacobs commented it was just as much work to do it on the CC.
