Last night the State College Area Municipal band was supposed to finish our concert and kickoff the fireworks with a choreographed Stars and Stripes Forever. The fireworks here are very impressive, all very well choreographed. Well, our bit didn't happen. According to my wife who was sitting by the sound board they were struggling during our concert to get the feed to firework controlers to get the timing right and never did get it. Well after the grand finale they still had the fireworks leftover that would have gone with S&SF so they shot them off - to a S&SF version recorded by - gulp - Banjo and String Bass! This must have been the only recording they had at the radio station that was simulcasting the show. Brought tears to my ears.
