My vote would be for:

Prokofiev-Romeo & Juliet, San Francisco SO, Michael Tilson Thomas, 1996 (Floyd Cooley is incredible)

Holst-The Planets, LA Phil, Zubin Mehta 1971 (Roger Bobo and Tommy Johnson doubling the tuba part....WOW!)

Prokofiev-Alexander Nevsky/Lt. Kije, LA Phil, Andre Previn, 1987 (Norm Pearson is fantastic)

These are just the 3 that come to the top of my head right now. The tuba playing is of the highest, as is the ensemble playing on all 3 of these recordings.

Too many others to list...don't even get me started on Mahler!!!!!!!
