New Music Cultivation Fund
Commission Assistance Grant Opportunity
Deadline for first cycle July 13
Purposes:
v To encourage performers at all levels of development (elementary performing ensemble through professional) who have never commissioned new music to experience the value of working closely with a composer.
v To cultivate audiences for new music.
v To encourage composer/performer interaction.
v To encourage composer/audience interaction
v To foster the growth of new music
Grant:
v Grant covers the cost of the commission fee, the copying and reproduction of parts, and the composer residency.
v Applicants must be individuals or organizations residing in the United States.
