Well, I am uncertain as to the full background of the horn, but it was produced by VMI. Most of the Musica's were pretty poor quality, corners were cut everywhere. Weak bracings, cheap soder, and several other tricks to make it cheaper than whatever horn model it's designed to emulate. The particular horn I am selling has been completely overhauled. Pretty much taken apart, and put back together properly. Also new rotors and rotor mechanisms have been added. All work was done by George Craft of Southeast Instrument Repair, in Huntsville. What an amazing job he did too... he took a mediocre CC tuba, and turned it into an instrument comparable to some that sell for twice as much. Any other questions about my particular horn, feel free to email. Ciao.
