Regrettably, I haven't played either. If you have seen any of
my previous posts, you may recall that I'm a Conn 25J player from
college years long ago, and except for one or two more occasional
opportunities since then (the last one almost 20 yrs. ago), I haven't
touched a tuba since. There've been a lot of changes since then,
at least in what I see.
I appreciate the insight.
The 25J was a massive 6/4 horn, and some of these smaller 4/4
horns (which I think both the Mirafone 186-4 and the Cerveny are
have me wondering how much and how sonorous a sound I would get
with them.
