Do you live within earshot of an FM radio station that carries the weekly Chicago Symphony broadcasts? Or do you know someone who does? Sooner or later, they will broadcast the concert, and you can tape it off the air. Undoubtedly there will be a lively trade in tapes or homemade CDs, MP3s etc., of this concert. Just as there has been in tapes of the many performances of the VW by celebrated players who have not recorded the piece, and the John Williams, which hasn't been recorded by anyone. It becomes an ethical problem only for those who attempt to profit by it. Sharing the otherwise unobtainable should not be a problem.
