I agree with Jay. I have a Willson which I bought because of the lack of
bad notes, its one of the truest sounding euphs even compared to the UK
models, believe me.

I also suspect the mouthpiece contributes.

For many years the Wick I used had different properties for different notes
even though they were only a semitone apart.

Recently changing on to a custom Doug Elliott, I have now learned new
embouchure positions for all my top notes, to big advantage.

Try an old mouthpiece that you have not used for a while, then come back and
play on your original mouthpiece without thinking about the bad note.
