I almost hate to mention this since it has already been discussed so much recently already.. but wouldn't a product like Brasso that has an abbrassive component as well as a solvent type base be good for breaking down the lacquer and then buffing it off?
Just a couple thoughts.. I'm surprised more knowledgable people haven't jumped in on this one.
May I ask why would you want to remove lacquer anyhow?
