I've advocated for some time now the use of Eb tubas as a good alternative to the F. There are so many good cheap Ebs available. I'd say forget about F altogether. If your Eb suits you then use it. I've been working on the Introduction and Dance also. The only time I'd ever heard the piece is on the Bobo recording so when I went to the music store and bought the music and opened it, I was surprised to see it down the octave. It does lie well on Eb up the octave.
